Think back to your childhood. What have you always done? What do you still (want) to do? Regardless of money, fame, or status? What creative thing is it you could do all day?
Not paying attention to that creative passion is dangerous. Ignored too long, it will lead to things like depression, anger, relationship problems, and work issues.
Compare your feeling in periods of working on that passion vs not working on it. Feel a difference?
Does it feel as if something is missing when you have ignored that creative part of you?
As Picasso said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is remaining an artist when you get older."
Maybe you've been living your profession, but not your passion for the last decade or more. But it's never too late to turn things around. The passion is inside of you, it will never leave you.
